New horror?
Conceptual work is underway for my new horror game project, which has been an exhilarating and creative endeavor. I’m not sure yet when I’ll be actively developing it, as I want to ensure that every detail is meticulously planned and crafted. However, I’m excited to share that the project’s outline is already well-defined, laying a solid foundation for what I hope will be a chilling and immersive experience for players. The theme, characters, and storyline are being carefully considered to evoke a deep sense of fear and suspense, and I’m gathering inspiration from various sources to enhance the overall atmosphere of the game.
Old projects
In the near future, I want to finish two of my older games. They are nearly complete, requiring only a few final touches and some improvements. Cybergia Arena features arena-based combat, incorporating elements of randomness, multiple game modes, and several unique mechanics. The second title, Cybergia Challenge, is a strategy game designed for two players sharing a single computer; it boasts a distinct visual style, a strong atmosphere, and a sense of realism—all set within a bizarre world populated by pirates, aliens, and zombies. Both are solid, albeit compact, titles. Moving forward, I intend to continue expanding these projects within my “Cybergia” universe—a setting based on my books about a futuristic detective agency, where magic intersects with the future.
What with Gamedev Quiz?
Gamedev Quiz is also in the works, though it’s unlikely I’ll be able to finish it this year due to various unforeseen challenges that have arisen during development, including the need for additional features and thorough testing to ensure a smooth user experience. Despite these setbacks, I remain optimistic about its future potential and look forward to sharing it when it’s ready. On the other hand, my book Pixel Worlds (Pikselowe Światy), which I’ve been passionately working on, is set to be released at the end of December, and I’m incredibly excited about this milestone. This book will not only explore the intricate designs and mechanics of pixel art games but also delve into the creative processes behind them, offering readers an insightful look at what makes these worlds so captivating.
My life as game developer
Beyond that, I am continuously refining my life plan with careful thought and consideration of my long-term goals. I’ve decided to focus on writing—specifically content and resources for game developers—while also regularly releasing new games and books to share my passion for storytelling and innovation. This journey is not just about personal fulfillment; it’s about connecting with like-minded individuals in the gaming community and contributing to its growth. I’m going to give it my all, pouring my heart and soul into every project, knowing that this dedication will lead me to inspire others and perhaps even leave a lasting impact on the gaming industry.
